U. S. Coast Guard Phone Numbers

As cell phones have become an indispensable tool for cruisers / boaters, it is often more effective to communicate with the Coast Guard via cell phone than VHF radio. Starting about 2017, the Coast Guard have begun asking for a VHF caller's cell phone number so that they can call the boater for more information. They have also begun to give out their local phone number (usually for the Coast Guard Sector) and asking a boater to report additional information.

As of this date, I have not been able to find a comprehensive list of US Coast Guard phone numbers for quick reference by boaters. An assiduous search of uscg.mil websites can eventually discover a number.

The following is a list of phone numbers that I have been able to determine through many hours of listening to the Coast Guard handle boating problems.
